Back to all Alaska or Bust!

I'm sure the Oregon coastline is just beautiful, but we had two days of JUST FOG! I did get one faint shot of a lighthouse. It was of course still beautiful. We spent one night in a nice little National Park campground near Bandon. It had full hookups and was soooooo quiet. We could get used to that.

Then it was on to Crescent City and we found we could explore the Redwood Forest without actually going down to the official "Redwood Forest". We had a nice hike in the groves up on highway 199 headed toward Grants Pass. We again stayed in a National Park site, and then moved on to Felishia and Tim's house. Our rig fit perfectly inside their gate. Crazy dogs! Crazy neighbor dog! Just the way we like them.

Note to family: Work on Felishia and Tim to come to Arizona for Thanksgiving.

And then, it was a race for home. We TRIED to enjoy northern California and the Reno area, but been there, done that..... We took the 395 south to Mammoth for the night, and then on to Barstow and Lake Havasu City. We did get the photo of the rig under the London Bridge for good measure. We hadn't been south into Parker for years and were amazed at everything new. It was a beautiful drive. From there it was no stopping us. Let's go home! We were by now so homesick. We arrived at 11:30 pm (three days ahead of schedule) to a very happy little dog. We're home Ruby! Next time you can go!

Thanks to our kids and grand kids for checking on the house and entertaining the dog. We missed you so much it hurt! We plan on boring the entire family to death with the slide shows. Mom and Dad genuinely enjoy our pictures and looked forward to the each upload.

Thanks to our neighbor, Tricia who made this trip possible. She daily tended to our dog, cats, chickens, garden, and insured that we had no worries. Thank you! And also, thanks to Cindy and Keith for tending to the irrigation.

Final note: We are planning the next adventure. David is already fabricating something........
