We FINALLY made it to the Cassiar Highway turnoff and got off the Alaska Highway. Going south was a whole new adventure. We took the Stewart Highway side trip and went to Hyder Alaska, which is the southern most city you can drive to in Alaska. Population 100 and very cool! Also, there was a great drive up to the top of Salmon Glacier. We've seen dozens of glaciers on this trip, but looking down on one instead of up was a entirely different experience.
The best part of the drive was the Fish Creek bear watching platforms. Check out old "Dog", the local favorite.
