First on the agenda, "see" Mt. McKinley in Denali National Park. And there it is!
Side note: We took the car through an auto car wash and this was Davids very first ride through an auto wash. Ha! Never too late for new experiences......
We ran into a young couple from Australia (at the car wash) in an old mini van "camper". They had also been to Prudhoe Bay, and were continuing on their extended trip of the North. They were amazing. They will go back home to Australia soon and save up again until they can again come back to the explore U.S.
Anchorage has really grown since we were last here. Not much new to see in the big city....
We went down the Seward Highway. Last time we had to take the train into Whittier. Now there is a toll highway that shares the tunnel with the trains. Cool! We actually went off-roading on the Whittier back roads. The glacier run-off was unbelievable. Note for future trip, Whittier has a camp ground!
Well, this is the end of the first half of our trip. We put the little rig in a storage lot, and are taking a flight home. We'll be back in 30 days to continue the adventure. We aren't quite sure what route we will take going home...
