Day 1: Plan was to ride up 24 to Table Mesa Road, west to the I-17, cross over the Agua Fria River, travel up through the old mines and meet up with the back Crown King/Lake Pleasant route. All went well until we were within a mile of the Crown King Road (as a crow flies), then.....nothing..... no way to get there. No cheeseburgers and a cabin in Crown King for us. We had to turn around and go all the way back to the ranch. But is was a great ride anyway! Got back to camp around midnight. Oh well, on to plan B.
