Back to all Utah Trip

Circleville! Not much to the little town, but they had great food at "Dottie's" and a cute little Mercantile stocked with just about everything. The RV park was empty for the most part. We did see more activity as we were leaving. The people seemed to be coming in for the Jamboree.

We went over 200 miles round trip on our trail ride from Circleville to Bryce Canyon, spending the night at the motel in Tropic. Absolutely perfect trails including most of the Freemont trail, and some strange sections of the Great Western Trail. A little confusion at the top where we thought we could take a jeep trail down the bluffs to Tropic, but no luck. Best we could tell, the old trail had become part of the Great Western Trail for hiking and biking only (??!!?) . Oh well, a few miles of back-tracking, and it was a great ride just the same. After rest and nice night in Tropic, we rode the highway up to Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon, then jumped back on the trails back to Circleville.

The last day, we took a Sunday drive in the truck to scout future Utah trips. We liked the Otter Creek camp grounds, and did make it all the way to Torrey, which is the end or Northern start of the Highway 12 scenic route. We HAVE to come back and do the drive and off road trail riding. Great options for future rides with lots of side trails and history.
